Alister began his insurance career in 1978 and has been with IFM since 1993. Prior to this he worked for Sun Alliance and Prudential in their Broker Unit.

Alister has a daughter named Hanna and a granddaughter and lives with his partner Sarah and her two daughters in Sheffield.
